I am an urban gardener who does back yard and community gardening. We got into our gardening journey when we got a diagnosis for my child and found that the benefits for gardening were not only beneficial to adults but had many developmental benefits for children. We took up gardening anyway we could, including in our community where we give back by volunteering our time and growing crops and maintaining the garden in our community. I will be a master gardener in 2023! This is a journey I am ecstatic to get into. I’m so exited to see where this takes me. Check back for my updated blogs! My blogs are based on my experinces growing food!

This is our third year growing food in our community garden. This is a way that we teach our kids and give back to our communities. We just renovated the garden and built raised beds for the entire community. Here we teach our kids basic gardening principals, early science topics and have the opportunity to teach them hydroponic growing. We are very active in the community and gardening projects as well as local garden events. I will share information about our journey in the community as well
